چکیده
Abstract Background Bacterial canker and subsequent gummosis are caused by multiple pathogens lead to significant yield productivity losses in sweet cherry cultivation Turkey. This study identified that Pseudomonas syringae pathovars were responsible for bacterial on orchards using classical molecular methods evaluated the biocontrol effects of bacteriophages against P. pv. syringae. Results Pathogenic bacteria isolated from samples taken plants showing symptoms located İzmir Manisa provinces. Specific pathogenicity, phenotypic tests, simplex PCR. Bacteriophages effective strains soil contaminated with diseased an optimized isolation protocol. The activity bacteriophage isolates was tested vitro vivo. results pathogenicity tests immature fruits micropropagated plantlets revealed 10 pathogenic 44 plant canker. Conclusions Ten as . Nine different pure effective. indicated may demonstrate variable reactivity pathovars.

متن کاملIdentification of bacteriophages for biocontrol of the kiwifruit canker phytopathogen Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae.
Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae is a reemerging pathogen which causes bacterial canker of kiwifruit (Actinidia sp.). Since 2008, a global outbreak of P. syringae pv. actinidiae has occurred, and in 2010 this pathogen was detected in New Zealand. The economic impact and the development of resistance in P. syringae pv. actinidiae and other pathovars against antibiotics and copper sprays have ...
متن کاملCharacterization of alginate lyase from Pseudomonas syringae pv. syringae.
The gene encoding alginate lyase (algL) in Pseudomonas syringae pv. syringae was cloned, sequenced, and overexpressed in Escherichia coli. Alginate lyase activity was optimal when the pH was 7.0 and when assays were conducted at 42 degrees C in the presence of 0.2 M NaCl. In substrate specificity studies, AlgL from P. syringae showed a preference for deacetylated polymannuronic acid. Sequence a...
متن کاملRegulation of alginate biosynthesis in Pseudomonas syringae pv. syringae.
Both Pseudomonas aeruginosa and the phytopathogen P. syringae produce the exopolysaccharide alginate. However, the environmental signals that trigger alginate gene expression in P. syringae are different from those in P. aeruginosa with copper being a major signal in P. syringae. In P. aeruginosa, the alternate sigma factor encoded by algT (sigma22) and the response regulator AlgR1 are required...
متن کاملDraft Genome Sequence of Pseudomonas syringae pv. syringae ALF3 Isolated from Alfalfa
We report here the annotated draft genome sequence of Pseudomonas syringae pv. syringae strain ALF3, isolated in Wyoming. A comparison of this genome sequence with those of closely related strains of P. syringae adapted to other hosts will facilitate research into interactions between this pathogen and alfalfa.
